Every year, the University of Franche-Comté hosts an artist-in-residence in a research laboratory. Through the Science, Arts and Culture Department, a visual artist is invited to immerse himself in the life of a research laboratory and discover the work being carried out there. Over a period of several weeks, the artist will develop his or her research and creative work in close contact with lecturers, technical staff and students.
The UN ARTISTE | UN LABO scheme encourages exchange, collaboration and the cross-fertilization of approaches, skills and knowledge, supporting artistic creation and its dissemination to a wide audience. The “arts-sciences” projects that emanate from it aim to enable everyone to enrich themselves while exercising a critical eye, and thus participate in the evolution of our societies.
Céline Notheaux (personal website), who won the call for applications, will be in residence at CRESE for the academic year 2024-2025.
